FWIW: Using apt-get --download-only --reinstall install gs-esp dpkg -i --force-confmiss /var/cache/apt/archives/gs-esp*.deb should reinstall gs-esp including the missing conffile(s). dpkg --force-help ... confmiss [!] Always install missing config files ...
