The real error was:
** Message: totem_embedded_open 'fd://0'
** Message: don't know how to handle text/uri-list

I've just finished packaging totem 1.5.91 which I'll upload to
experimental shortly, and it plays the video fine -- but you need
gstreamer0.10-plugins-bad for this mms:// stream.
