The bbdb module cannot be loaded when doing (require 'erc-bbdb), or when
trying to add it through the customize interface.  This is the trace

This is using the Debian bbdb package BBDB version 2.35 ($Date: 2005/09/06
21:39:51 $).

I'm not sure where the problem may lie, but the load-path may not be
properly set up in bbdb, as this problem occurs with other packages trying
to use bbdb.  Particularly, this occurs in my system with supercite trying
to insinuate bbdb.
