Subject: wpasupplicant: "wpa-driver wext" does not work for madwifi
Package: wpasupplicant
Version: 0.5.4-5
Severity: minor

*** Please type your report below this line ***
I use the madwifi driver for my atheros wireless card. wpasupplicant's
documentation suggests that the line "wpa-driver wext" (or NO such
line) in /etc/network/interfaces should work. This seems not to be
true. wpa_supplicant gets only connected with "wpa-driver madwifi" in
/etc/network/interfaces.
