Package: sql-ledger Followup-For: Bug #334527
I appreciate that you can delete all relevant transactions using the exchange rate. However, it is *still* very easy to get the exchange rate wrong, and tying the exchange rate to the date means that if, for some reason, your several banks disagree about the exchange rate on a given day, you have to enter some of them with fake dates to get the data correct. Tying the exchange rate to the transaction, making it editable, and pulling the default rate from the previous similar transaction would make much more sense! (As it is, if someone makes an error entering an exchange rate, I have to print out the transaction, delete it, and re-enter it, usually making some more errors in the process!) cheers, Rich. -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.16-2-686-smp Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C (charmap=ANSI_X3.4-1968) -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
