I think you misunderstood me - it is not even an issue with clamav as
shipped by Debian.  The submitter has a hand crafted set of virus
definitions, and that is why they are getting false positives.  It's not
a problem of nmap, or a problem with clamav.  It is only a problem on
the submitters' end.

And, I think you're optimistic about people checking the BTS before
reporting bugs :)
