while executing this command

Setting up openssh-server (4.3p2-3) ...
useradd: invalid numeric argument 'nogroup'
adduser: `/usr/sbin/useradd -d /var/run/sshd -g nogroup -s
/usr/sbin/nologin -u 109 sshd' returned error code 3. Exiting.

according to the useradd man page -g nogroup should work if nogroup is in
/etc/group, but it is failing
