GShare's daemon won't start unless the Avahi service is running. There is no mention of this requirement in the docs, in the package description or even in the list of packages it recommends or depends on. In fact, I'm not completely sure of what the Avahi service is, I guess it means the Avahi daemon. I'll get it installed and see if that helps. - -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.17-ck1 Locale: LANG=es_AR.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=es_AR.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Versions of packages gshare depends on: ii gconf2 2.14.0-1 GNOME configuration database syste ii libavahi1.0-cil 0.6.11-1 CLI bindings for Avahi ii libdbus-1-cil 0.62-4 CLI binding for D-BUS interprocess ii libgconf2.0-cil 2.8.3-1 CLI binding for GConf 2.12 ii libglade2.0-cil 2.8.3-1 CLI binding for the Glade librarie ii libglib2.0-cil 2.8.3-1 CLI binding for the GLib utility l ii libgnome2.0-cil 2.8.3-1 CLI binding for GNOME 2.12 ii libgtk2.0-cil 2.8.3-1 CLI binding for the GTK+ toolkit 2 ii libmono-corlib1.0-cil 1.1.13.8-1 Mono core library (1.0) ii libmono-system1.0-cil 1.1.13.8-1 Mono System libraries (1.0) ii libmono1.0-cil 1.1.13.8-1 Mono libraries (1.0) ii mono-runtime 1.1.13.8-1 Mono runtime gshare recommends no packages. - -- no debconf information -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.3 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFE0kZo823633cP2P8RAoxNAJ9UoDv6jniprllgqBkGgE1zIt/32gCfR+yE 98gfqPZ6PEc6+1unrEsJ8qI= =phsX -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
