Hi,

I have tested new pmidi-1.6.0-2 on 2 computers with 2 sound card :
        - iMac G3 900Mhz with powermac-snd sound module.
        - PC with Intel Celeron 466Mhz and a Creative PCI 128 sound card.

I can't reproduce the bug what you describe.
Sometime, I have latency problems on old computers, but I can always hear a
sound.

If you load timidity in server mode, try to run it with theses options:

        timidity -iA -B2,8 -Os -EFreverb=0&

For me, it solve latency problems on old computer.

I used pmidi-1.6.0 a lot of times and with this options
it seems to work fine.

Regards,
