jwz says: Thou Shalt Not Ever add new libraries to the link line of the "xscreensaver" executable. Read On Toolkits http://www.jwz.org/xscreensaver/toolkits.html until you understand why. You can do what you want by using something analagous to xscreensaver-command -watch from man 3 xscreensaver: -watch Prints a line each time the screensaver changes state: when the screen blanks, locks, unblanks, or when the running hack is changed. This option never returns; it is intended for use by shell scripts that want to react to the screensaver in some way. -- Ralf Hildebrandt (i.A. des IT-Zentrums) [EMAIL PROTECTED] Charite - Universitätsmedizin Berlin Tel. +49 (0)30-450 570-155 Gemeinsame Einrichtung von FU- und HU-Berlin Fax. +49 (0)30-450 570-962 IT-Zentrum Standort CBF send no mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
