Package: beidgui Version: 2.5.9-4 Severity: normal *** Please type your report below this line ***
The beidgui always showed a "wrong rootcertificate" error when reading a card on my system. This is probably related to the following things * Dirs that are in the config, which are missing after installation of the package: /usr/local/share/beid/ /usr/local/share/beid/crl /usr/local/share/beid/certs >From /etc/beidgui.conf [BEID_default] # The certificates directory (must exist) certs = /usr/local/share/beid/certs/ # The CRL directory (must exist) crl = /usr/local/share/beid/crl/ * Or setting the beidgui options: 'Certificate validation' OCSP: optional CRL: optional <SAVE> Read an eid (ignore eventual root certificate errors) and close the app. Next time you open the beidgui, you'll be able to read your card without the "wrong root" certificate error. However the "wrong root certificate" does still show up when you save your options. It's not clear to me what's the exact cause of the error and I'm not even sure if it's the creation of the dirs or the setting of the options that is responsible for this partial fix, but maybe it helps or somebody else can find out more with this info. :-) Luc -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers dapper-security APT policy: (500, 'dapper-security'), (500, 'dapper') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.15-26-686 Versions of packages beidgui depends on: ii libbeid2 2.5.9-4 library to read identity informati ii libbeidlibopensc2 2.5.9-4 belgian eID PKCS11 library ii libc6 2.3.6-0ubuntu20 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an ii libgcc1 1:4.0.3-1ubuntu5 GCC support library ii libqt3-mt 3:3.3.6-1ubuntu3 Qt GUI Library (Threaded runtime v ii libssl0.9.8 0.9.8a-7build1 SSL shared libraries ii libstdc++6 4.0.3-1ubuntu5 The GNU Standard C++ Library v3 ii libwxgtk2.6-0 2.6.1.2ubuntu2 wxWidgets Cross-platform C++ GUI t beidgui recommends no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
