In Preferences hit Help. Then copy the entire text with your mouse and paste it into a .txt file. There don't you see e.g.,:
General OptionsPreferences
Hide the status bar
Uncheck this optionpreference to force the status bar to be
displayed in popup windows.
Change status bar text
Uncheck this optionpreference to disable annoying status bar text
scrolling and Web address hiding.
