Hello,

I think the update-menus utility already does this and I was just
about to submit a bug NOT to do it because it breaks the localization.
I am using GNOME, I installed a few games and the menu was not
updated.

I ran update-menus with a regular user rights, but it didn't made the
menu entries appear in there (they should appear automatically, I
know). I thought probably is something related to permissions, so I
ran update-menus from the root accout. The menu appeared but now it
was NOT localized, which it broken, since:
1) LANG=ro_RO.UTF-8 was set in the root environment
2) It breaks the whole purpose of localization.

How do I restore now the Debian menu to have *localized* entries?

P.S.: this post might lead to the need to clone and retitle this bug,
but I am not yet sure, so I haven't done it.
