I encounter the same problem as described in 352809. I don't see why it should only be a wishlist bug, though. If I run "firefox url" or "firefox file" and get a page telling me the url or file is not accessible (for example, the debian help system does this), although it clearly is, just because it tells a remotely running browser to open a local file, then this is _clearly_ a bug.
