Bug#377941: problem solved after doing dist-upgrade to sid

After doing a distribution upgrade the problem seems to be solved. So 
now I don't have to do Ctrl-S nor to modify the init-premount file for 
the usb disk to be detected before root is mounted.

I am using Debian GNU/Linux Sid, kernel 2.6.15-1-486 with udev 0.093-1 
and initramfs-tool 0.69b.
