There are no native-code compilers (ocamlopt or ocamlopt.opt executable) on architectures like mips, so on these architectures one can only built the -byte code binary packages (ara-byte and xara-gtk-byte). Seems buildds can cope with that - http://buildd.debian.org/pkg.cgi?pkg=ara Local user' builders should also be able to produce just the -byte packages without hassle. if I simulate mips on my x86 box moving away my /usr/bin/ocamlopt and /usr/bin/ocamlopt.opt, then -byte packages builds just fine. Let me know if you still experience problems on mips.
