Package: parted Version: 1.6.25.1-3 Severity: wishlist hello, i am attempting to reconfigure my hard drive and need to resize my extended partition. parted is currently incapable of this operation. if i do "rezize 4 8GB 20GB" i get the error message "Error: can't have overlapping partitions."
this is a formal request for parted to support extended partition move and resize operations. please pass this message upstream if that makes the most sense. thank you for your consideration. mike -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers testing APT policy: (600, 'testing'), (500, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.16-2-686 Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Versions of packages parted depends on: ii libc6 2.3.6-15 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libncurses5 5.5-2 Shared libraries for terminal hand ii libparted1.6-13 1.6.25.1-3 The GNU Parted disk partitioning s ii libreadline5 5.1-7 GNU readline and history libraries parted recommends no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
