I'm cloning and retitleing around a bit because shows three bugs:
- googleearth-package not using dpkg-deb (and getting the ".tar.gz"s
wrong as it missed the ./, and using GNU ar instead of BSD ar like
dpkg-deb)
- reprepro failing to read GNU ar filenames in .deb files
(fixed in CVS, thus tagged pending)
- reprepro's non-libarchive-fallback failing to extract the control file
when the initial ./ is missing. (Only used when compiled without
libarchive, thus not applicaple to the version in testing and
unstable, but perhaps for backports. therefore wishlist)
