Package: php4-mysql Severity: important (all php4 packages involved here are 4.4.2-1.1)
I installed (via apt-get) php4 and php4-mysql. After realizing that I also needed the cli version of php4, I installed php4-cli. However, PHP scripts run from the cli could not make MySQL connections, reporting that the MySQL 'connect' function was not found. Removing php4-mysql and reinstalling it cured the problem. -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.16.16 Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C (charmap=ANSI_X3.4-1968) -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
