For the benefit of people who are looking for a solution to this
bug, "That's the problem" means you have to "apt-get install
openoffice.org-core"

This will force libcairo to be upgraded, which is probably the key to
the fix.

Neither "apt-get upgrade" nor "apt-get install openoffice.org" will fix
the problem.
