Sadly kernel building isn't really an area I'm that good at! can you build and load things as modules separately, essentially similar to how we ship netrom now?
That's how I'm trying to build it. This issue seems like it could be an incompatible change between 7.0.x and 7.1.x branches for this code. I have a whole write up on how I'm doing this is anyone that is skilled with custom kernel builds doing git branch merges and they can see what's wrong. Any takers?
Nothing changes in Trixie - this is for unstable/forky. We wouldn't disable what shipped in the existing stable OS.
Forky will be based on the Linux 7.1.x or later kernel right? If so, yes, I think dropping all the AX25 packages from Debian Forky and later as those newest kernel generations has dropped that support"
