Package: ftp.debian.org Severity: normal Please remove prospect from sid. Upstream appears to be dead. Without significant effort from upstream, prospect will not be usable with 2.6 kernels (note that #228669 requesting support for 2.6 has now been open for ~2.5 years). Since 2.6 will soon become the default kernel, the package will then become unusable. Further, most if not all of the functionality in prospect is available in other performance analysis tools (e.g., oprofile). Hence, removing the package will not degrade Debian usability.
