Hi Alexandra, It seems that your python2.4-gtk2 package is a bit old. Could you update your system and try with the latest gnome-sudoku (0.4.0-2) ? It doesn't happens to me with both 0.4.0-1 and 0.4.0-2 in an up-to-date system. FYI, 0.5.0-1 will hit the archive tomorrow.
