Dear Maintainer, Since Debian Trixie, where the Debian-friendly package network-manager dropped [1] support for the 01-ifupdown script [2] that was last seen available in Bookworm, the ntpsec-ntpdate (ntpdate-debian) command no longer runs upon established connections, thus never updating the system time unless run manually. Additionally, considering e.g. that systemd-timesyncd pools current time (i.e. sends workstation "ping healthcheck" signal to all interested parties) *every five minutes*, it might make sense to also install an hourly cron rule, dependent upon a /etc/default setting.
