the original issue of this report is addresses with the 'auto' mode as we talked about earlier.
two additional things came up within this bug report: a) supporting a range of kernel versions (so that fixed kernels in stable are also detected as fixed), and b) integrate the execution of linux-vulnerability-mitigation in the kernel packges hooks or so.
