I would like a file lightdm.conf.local or something like that, what I
can use to overwrite settings without changing lightdm.conf.
Maybe this would also be good for the other configfiles, but I never
change them.
How about dropping a file into /etc/lightdm/lightdm.conf.d/?
No problems with that ;-)
To be true, that was my first idea. But I was not sure if it would be
then /etc/lightdm.d/ . And if you want to do it with the other
configfiles too, you would need more of those config-directories.
Then I thought about how fail2ban and Bind9 do it, maybe more easy in
this case. So that's why I asked for a lightdm.conf.local.
But an /etc/lightdm/lightdm.conf.d/ is perfect too!
