Hey,

Hi,

Sorry for the delay on my end here. :)

I am a bit overwhelmed in my end (unrelated to this email), so I have skimmed over the email and tried to trim my answer down to what I thought was the most essential. If I overlooked something you wanted a follow up, please feel free to bring it up.

In general, thanks for your work to make compat 14 better and your email. Even if I do not answer all parts of it directly, I appreciate the feedback you have given.

Since the `dh_qmldeps` is conceptually not far off from
`dpkg-shlibdeps`, I think it would make sense for `dh_qmldeps` to follow
its footsteps.

great. In meanwhile I released pkg-kde-tools 0.22.0~rc2 with this change.

Thanks.

I created https://salsa.debian.org/debian/debhelper/-/merge_requests/155
but I didn't found the correctly perl code for detection.

I believe all outstanding issues on that one has been resolved in salsa and it is now merged.

Thank you for maintaining debhelper and steering comapt 14 with hopefully
enough help from others.

I'm now unsure what we do this bugreport now. Should I close it with
dh_qmldeps 0.22.0 hitting sid, or the MR against debhelper?

Best regards,

hefee

For the blocker bug, lets clone this one, so we have one each. I will be closing this one with the next upload of `debhelper` and you can close the clone for pkg-kde-tools when v0.22 is ready for sid. That way, people can review the compat 14 blocker bug for outstanding issues and we do not have to coordinate our uploads/bug closures to remove the blockers.

Once again, I very much appreciated that you reached out about the issue, the entire discussion, and your work on making compat 14 better. I am being a bit short here, because my situation is a bit overwhelming unrelated to you and I am trying to quickly cross off some "low-hanging fruits" to see if I can get my mental TODO list more manageable.

Best regards,
Niels
