Package: apt-src Version: 0.25.1 Severity: normal
My $HOME is NFS mounted and doesn't support file locking. apt-src fails as follows: $ apt-src install binutils E: /home/phil/.apt-src//status is locked by another process It's fine for apt-src to try locking, but can't it be disabled somehow? Or can't it use a lock in some other filesystem? -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'testing'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.16 Locale: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Versions of packages apt-src depends on: ii apt 0.6.43.3 Advanced front-end for dpkg ii dpkg-dev 1.13.22 package building tools for Debian ii libapt-pkg-perl 0.1.20 Perl interface to libapt-pkg ii perl 5.8.8-4 Larry Wall's Practical Extraction Versions of packages apt-src recommends: pn build-essential <none> (no description available) ii fakeroot 1.5.8 Gives a fake root environment pn sudo <none> (no description available) -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
