Control: retitle -1 debputy: multiple case aliases do not work
Marc Haber:
Package: dh-debputy Version: 0.1.86 Severity: normal Hi, debputy lint --spellcheck complains warning: File: ./debian/watch:3:10:3:16: The value "GitHub" is not supported in Template. It is possible that the value is a typo of "Github". [debputy][LSP interactive quickfix]
Hi Marc Thanks for filing a bug.The root cause is not that `debputy` does not know about `GitHub` but rather that there is a bug that prevents it from having multiple aliases with the same case active.
[...] See debian-watch(5):
GitHub
[...]
Thanks for highlighting that they changed their preferred spelling for the GitHub template. I had `Github` as the default alias.
You should not nitpick on another package's official spelling. [...]
I felt that this final sentence made me spent energy on having to deal on whether there is a problem between the two of us I am not aware of. I apologies if this happens to just be a language barrier thing.
If you are angry with me or how I do things in Debian, then I hopeyou will reach out to me in private as calm and collected as you are able with the situation and behavior that made you angry with me. Hopefully, it is something we can trivially solve. But if it something where we fundamentally disagree, then I would like us to be at a state where we are aware of the disagreement and can agree to disagree peacefully.
If it is language thing, part of what triggered me was the "You should [not]". The "you" makes it personal as it puts the focus on me (the receiver). If wording had been "The `debputy` program should [not] ..." then it becomes about `debputy` not behaving as expected rather than me not behaving as expected.
Best regards, Niels
