Package: maradns Version: 1.0.23-4 Severity: minor The README.Debain file should:
1) Put the subdomain discussion in a new section/subsection, and include some non-subdomain content in the current Authoritative section (perhaps referring to sample configuration file, as is done in the Recursive section). 2) The subdomain Disadvantages section has some errors: - DocumentRoot doesn't get harder, as it can be replaced by VirtualDocumentRoot (in Apache2). - "Not that clean" doesn't apply to Apache2, as virtual hosts are a key component to Apache2 and even its default configuration in Debian. - The "Web statistics might get a little harder to do" doesn't apply as the virtual host can be included as a field in the logfile, and apache2-utils contains split-logfile, which will separate combined logfiles for you. Also, it may be worth providing the following link, which explains in detail virtual hosting in Apache2: http://httpd.apache.org/docs-2.0/vhosts/mass.html Charles -- System Information: Debian Release: 3.1 APT prefers testing APT policy: (90, 'testing'), (80, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.4.26-1um Locale: LANG=en_US, LC_CTYPE=en_US (charmap=ISO-8859-1) Versions of packages maradns depends on: ii libc6 2.3.2.ds1-20 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
