Package: power-profiles-daemon
Version: 0.30-2
Severity: important

Hi,

for several months I have been copping with a computer that
suddenly hangs on basic non-intensive tasks like opening an application,
saving a file, and so on. I thought my PC was dead.

Thanks to some LLM, the best answer I could get - and it fixed the issue -
was that some drive needed
/sys/class/scsi_host/host*/link_power_management_policy
to be
max_performance

or else it would hang there between 1 and 10 seconds, triggering the gnome
prompt "non-responsive, would you like to force quit".

Now I would just like to help improving the situation.
Maybe the brand of SSD should be exempt from alpm, I don't know.

In doubt, here are the relevant hdparm info (the problem is with
one of these two drives):

hdparm -I /dev/sda | grep -E 'Model|Serial|revision|speed'
