Dear Submitters, After all struggling I've decided to go easy way: convert bug to a feature ;-) To be specific: define global locale setting in config file which defaults to '' equivalently setting up to default locale specified usually with LC_ALL (as it was done before). So in most of your cases (whenever default locale is not the one used by daemons logging in "interesting" files), you would just need to override it to be "C" or whatever locale is appropriate.
