Dear maintainers of the Debian Linux kernel packages,
the versioned `linux-base-$ver-$arch` binary packages have recently been
introduced (in 6.19~rc5-1~exp1), with the task of shipping files common
to various kernel binary packages.
While the reason for the creation of this new binary package is surely
sound, its name is confusing because it seems to be a release-specific
version of the `linux-base` package (the one that ships kernel-related
support scripts).
Would it be possible to rename it to something that does not mention
`linux-base`, for example `linux-common-$ver-$arch`?
Regards,
