The library should be removed from Debian, it has been deprecated a long tima ago, even I took over that libary in 2012, upstream had already deprecated the library and had prominetnly on the homeage to use Kyoto Cabinet instead [1,2]. (And according to Wikipedia, this has been replaced with Tkrzz…[3] ) As now the library is showing it's age (#1114412), I'm going to file bugs to ask the remaining reverse dependencies to migrate off tokyocabinet with the final goal to remove tokyocabinet from Debian.... This bug is to track the removal process.
