Package: fortunes-debian-hints
Version: 2.01.5+nmu1
Severity: wishlist

fortunes-debian-hints hardcodes line breaks. This is not necessary
(the terminal can perform line breaks) and also IMHO undesired, as
other shell output (e.g. man pages) is also not bound to 80
characters anymore.

And for really limited terminals this makes output even worse, because
wrapping
occurs twice like I artificially demonstreate in this paragraph. And
thus
it should be avoided in this case as well.

Currently (Debian Unstable) almost all languages have discarded the
line breaks already. Only pt, nl and ja have them currently.

If you do switch, please unfuzzy all complete translations (the German
one will be provided soon, so please unfuzzy it as well). You might
want to encourage the three translators left to follow suite.
