I don't think that patch should be taken. Upstream already had https://gitlab.com/ixion/ixion/-/issues/67 and did https://gitlab.com/ixion/ixion/-/commit/bfe5ab6adadda265d575fec9c192e6f53f2ef9f5 and https://gitlab.com/ixion/ixion/-/commit/d1ee97a73027579dd988d96d7a154f38c3187f37 10 months ago :) Will take those two.
