most likely articulating my position, not adopting it. I appreciate the
correction.
That said, a direct confirmation from Michael would still help establish
where things stand, since his position is central to Matthew's second
condition.
On a broader note: I've raised privacy and security concerns several
times in this thread, but I haven't seen them directly addressed, except
perhaps by Matthew, who expressed sympathy for my position. I'd
genuinely like to understand how the committee weighs these against
other considerations. Is there a shared framework for evaluating such
tradeoffs in Debian?
I'm also wondering whether I initially directed this to the right place,
given that my primary concern is security rather than a purely technical
disagreement.
