Source: webp-pixbuf-loader Version: 0.2.7-1 Severity: important gdk-pixbuf in Experimental is now powered by glycin for Debian release architectures. webp-pixbuf-loader's autopkgtest determinism-test is broken with the new packaging because it depends on /usr/bin/gdk-pixbuf-thumbnailer which is no longer provided on architectures using glycin.
gdk-pixbuf with glycin supports webp without any additional loader or thumbnailer. Therefore, webp-pixbuf-loader will probably only be useful for ports, which are only for unstable and don't use autopkgtests. I'm guessing that webp-pixbuf-loader will be practically unmaintained upstream since almost nothing is using it any more. I think we'd want to keep webp-pixbuf-loader out of Testing but it may be helpful to keep it in Unstable as long as glycin isn't built on all of Debian's ports. https://gnome.pages.gitlab.gnome.org/glycin/#supported-image-formats Thank you, Jeremy Bícha
