The BTS is running straight from the bzr repository with a highly customized installation; it's not like what you'd get from a debbugs package at all. Indeed, if you want what the BTS has, you can get it by just building a package straight from bzr. It's just not ready to be uploaded to unstable IMO. > > > Should I do an NMU ? > > > > If you have patches to fix the outstanding issues with the package, by > > Sure, where is the list of outstanding issues you would like to fix > prior uploading ? 1) Ditch all .in files 2) Fix rules and makefile accordingly; run tests in build 3) Actually have installation instructions and/or automated installation that works 4) Test migration from existing debbugs installs 5) Import the utility routines that actually make the integration from the archive and debbugs work into the repository; include them as examples. 6) Remove cruft 7) Document what has to be done if you're using installs that are crufty. 8) Get the new versions of spamscan into bzr and tested 9) Double check that I haven't missed anything > So what should I do ? No, but uploading a package that is not tested and has the changes that needs to be made to make it something that is actually an improvement over the existing packages isn't something that I'm willing to do. > If you do not want to maintain the Debian pacage, well, don't. Uh, excuse me? I'm actually working on fixing these issues; I just have a different order of priorities than you do. If you want to help, by all means do so, but bitching at me because my priorities are different from yours is counter productive. Don Armstrong -- CNN/Reuters: News reports have filtered out early this morning that US forces have swooped on an Iraqi Primary School and detained 6th Grade teacher Mohammed Al-Hazar. Sources indicate that, when arrested, Al-Hazar was in possession of a ruler, a protractor, a set square and a calculator. US President George W Bush argued that this was clear and overwhelming evidence that Iraq indeed possessed weapons of maths instruction. http://www.donarmstrong.com http://rzlab.ucr.edu -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
