Update on the status of this bug. * Tasksel now tries to cater to users who don't know how to use a multiselect box with the keyboard by guessing if their system will support a desktop install, and selecting the desktop by default if so. So most users -- I guess probably 75% or so -- who will be confused by this and hit enter to try to select something will still get a desktop task selected * The graphical version of d-i does not have the problem.
