Package: libcdparanoia0 Version: 3a9.8-13 Severity: normal In linux 2.6.17, programs using libcdparanoia0 to read audio CD data for playback (notably, software using gstreamer0.8-cdparanoia, which includes many GNOME CD playing/ripping programs) have skipping sound (small silent pauses in the playback) and the kernel logs messages like this:
sg_write: data in/out 56/56 bytes for SCSI command 0x12--guessing data in; program sound-juicer not setting count and/or reply_len properly This also applies to normal usage with the cdparanoia command line tool. I'm not sure if this would be fixed by / is the same bug as #348088, so I'm submitting this separately.
