A member of the community team, who has never been involved with these
packages, decided to override me as the maintainter concerning some
code changes in unstable. Having failed to convince by arguments,
instead of following the process set up by the constitution with
regards to overruling maintainers, he sent me an email on January 3rd
titled "consider your next action carefully", containing a series of
orders, and not-so-subtly threatening expulsion from the project in
case of noncompliance with these demands - quoting verbatim: "Debian
Accounts Managers have already been made aware of the situation and
are watching closely".

At the risk of stating the obvious, according to its delegation text
(https://lists.debian.org/debian-devel-announce/2025/07/msg00004.html)
the community team in theory does not have the power to override
developers. That belongs to the technical committee, which can do so
with a 3:1 majority vote as per article 6.1.4, which has not happened.

Given rules, safeguards and constitutions only work as long as those
wielding real power choose to abide by them, it is clearly not safe
for me to keep working on this package any longer, hence withdrawing
the ITS, and will be shortly removing myself as maintainer.
