Package: digikam Version: 0.8.1+0.8.2-rc1-2 I work with Debian GNU/Linux Sid, the kernel version is linux-image-2.6.17-1-k7.
When I modify a Tiff image under Digikam and try to save it directly, I get the Error Message, that the image cannot be saved. I have to choose "Save as ..." and have to give the Tiff image a new name, then Digikam saves it. With Jpeg Files it works fine, I can modify them and save modifications directly, without giving them a new name. I hope, this message is useful for you.
