Package: klog Version: 2.4.2-3 Severity: normal klog fails to start under wayland (I conjecture, whenever a DB upgrade is required). Launching it from a terminal, I get the following error, followed by a hang:
qt.qpa.wayland: Failed to create grabbing popup. Ensure popup
QWidgetWindow(0x559c01e19a00, name="QMessageBoxClassWindow") has a
transientParent set and that parent window has received input.
After searching around, I discovered that setting the environment
variable QT_QPA_PLATFORM=xcb is a temporary workaround. Running
QT_QPA_PLATFORM=xcb klog
causes a dialog box saying the Klog DB needs to be upgraded to appear.
Subsequent launches do not require this environment variable to be set.
