Package: wnpp Severity: normal X-Debbugs-Cc: [email protected] Control: affects -1 + src:xiccd
I intend to orphan the xiccd package, as I do not use it anymore. The package description is: xiccd is a simple bridge between colord and X. It performs the following tasks: . * Enumerating displays and registering them in colord; * Creating default ICC profiles based on EDID data; * Applying ICC profiles provided by colord; * Maintaining the user's private ICC storage directory. . It does not depend on any particular desktop environment nor toolkit and it should not be used in desktop environments that support color management natively, like GNOME and KDE do. The package has been maintained with git, in salsa, under the "debian" group, so it should be easy to resume working on it there. It's currently in a relatively decent shape. There have been rare reports of segfaults in both the Debian BTS and Ubuntu's Launchpad that could be investigated further. It could use proper autopkgtests; I never bothered to figure out how to properly nest X in order to adequately test it.
