I just "discovered" the link-monitor-applet, and love it! I've always wanted a quick visual way to monitor whether I still have a link up to my home and work machines, this is perfect. It would be nice if this could keep track of the connection history over the applet's running session. A graphical display would be ideal, but even a list would be great. If this isn't in upstream's plans, I'd be happy to try to write a patch.
