One significant change is an update to make it work better with gdm 49. I was unable to get ibus to work on GNOME's login screen, even with Debian 13 (using gdm 48). Please let me know if you can provide instructions for how to do this. https://github.com/ibus/ibus/commit/c158800 - "Since GDM 49 version, gdm user doesn't exist". This is true for the Arch Linux package, but not for Debian currently. - Debian has a gdm user and group, both named Debian-gdm - Debian's gdm3 maintainers may remove the Debian-gdm user in the future (like Arch Linux did). The group might also be renamed to _gdm at that time. - So I think we should patch ibus's new panel_extension_disable_groups function to add "Debian-gdm" and "_gdm" to the list.
