Adopting the package would also be an option.
With trixie being the last release to support armel and the need for this on
armhf (or other architectures) being unclear its not obvious how useful this
package will be from forky onwards.
Given this request is for software designed for a long-EOL-d product, which
will cease to be supported in our immediately next major release, I suggest
you turn this RFH request to a package removal request.
