Package: libgd2-noxpm-dev
Version: 2.0.33-4
Severity: wishlist

Hi,

There are spurious dependencies in the output of gdlib-config --libs:

-lpthread -lXpm -lX11 -ljpeg -lfreetype -lpng12 -lz -lm

These are _not_ needed in --libs (since the libgd _interface_ doesn't
need functions of these libraries) and just bring unneeded dependencies.
They should be used only for linking libgd.so itself, and put in
gdlib-config --libs --static (for static linking).

Samuel
