Dear FTP Masters, Please remove from unstable the ppc64el binaries for rocblas and all its reverse dependencies. I believe the affected pacakges are miopen, rocsolver, hipblas, and hipsolver. rocblas 6.4.4-2 FTBFS on ppc64el due to an internal compiler error [1]. This is blocking migration of the new rocblas package to testing. I originally enabled the ppc64el build for rocblas because there was KFD driver support for ROCm on ppc64el in the upstream kernel. Fixing the x86-ism in the ROCm userspace code was straightforward. However, I have never managed to find ppc64el hardware that could use these packages. The tests failed when executed on a ppc64el system with AMD GPU hardware. The upstream ROCm project does not support ROCm on ppc64el. AMD will accept patches if we can get it working, but the help they can offer in fixing problems is quite limited. The cost-benefit ratio for fixing the compiler on ppc64el is quite poor given that the packages won't work anyway. I think we should drop the ppc64el builds of the ROCm math libraries until we have evidence that they work on that platform. As such, we'll need to remove the existing ppc64el binaries. Thank you for your help! Sincerely, Cory Bloor [1]: https://bugs.debian.org/1121021
